Scottish Widows platform is the rebranded Embark platform combined with the migration of old Advance by Embark (formerly Zurich) clients onto the Embark tech stack. Advisers traditionally have not scored the Embark platform highly but Embark CEO Jackie Leiper has ambitious plans for the new Scottish Widows Platform and plans to invest for growth. The firm has said it plans to add Scottish Widows’ retirement products onto its platforms and introduce better functionality to support clients in decumulation. This year the platform completed the migration of Advance by Embark customers onto the newly rebranded Scottish Widows Platform, hopefully setting up the platform for strong growth in the years ahead.
