Titles in asset management firms are stuck in a pre-RDR world. It is time to ditch titles such as “head of distribution” and “broker support”. Equally, if advisers don’t want to be treated like distributors, they should charge based on the value they offer clients. My latest column in New Model Adviser challenges the industry to move on.
